Winter Staples with Margaret O'Leary
IN COLLABORATION WITH MARGARET O’LEARY
All in favor of a good sweater say “I”. Margaret O’Leary has been one of my favorite brands for cozy pieces for a year now. As Indiana gets cooler over the next couple of months, it is time to bundle up. I styled a few of my new season favorites and wanted to share them with you! These pieces are worth the investment and have kept nice through many seasons for me.
We all need a good go-to turtleneck piece in our closet this winter. This cozy 100% cashmere piece is so warm! Wear it as a stand alone or pair it with your favorite jacket for those extra wintery days. This is one of those dress up - or dress down pieces that you truly cannot go wrong with!
90% of my closet is black…what does one more piece hurt? ;) Not only the perfect layering piece, this scoop neck has flake detailing in the stitching providing a unique design! I paired it with a plaid skirt, some thigh-high boots and a baker boy hat. The best part about simple black pieces like this is versatility. Pair it with pink pants, pair it with a leather black skirt — heck even with striped bell bottoms, it can flow smoothly with any outfit (something I always look for when shopping!)
Growing up I always was the one wearing the over the top designs with the matching pants from Limited Too. Once I started to learn more about my style as I grew up, I went through a basic phase. I wore only simple pieces and had basically a full-time capsule wardrobe. After my launch into the fashion blogging world it was like my style flipped upside down as shooting these fun outfits took over my personal style. I have to say, I have never had one top perfectly describe my style like this one does. The simple design, a fun and flirty shape with super soft (perfect for my skin) fabric. This has been my most worn piece from Margaret O'Leary!
The perfect POP! of color for your wardrobe. I typically am drawn to things that are more baggy or oversized but fell in love with this fitted, scoop neck sweater. Pair it with your favorite work pants and you have an outfit for the office, switch to some heels and add a statement necklace and you are ready for the night out! Margaret O’Leary never fails with super versatile pieces I love!
