The holidays are a crazy time for all of us. Emotions are high, it feels like there are a million things to do & the cold really starts to set in. For me, the holidays are our busiest time of the year. There are always brands to reply to, things that are overdue, or projects I end up working past midnight on. So it is easy for me to forget just how beautiful and magical this time of year is.

Winter time is actually my favorite time because I can be outside the most! Other times of the year are hard for my allergies and skin conditions, so winter & I are BFFs. One outdoor tradition that Bryce & I have is going to the Carmel Christkindlmarkt Market. It is a german-style holiday market that just screams Christmas cheer. Our favorite part is going ice skating. I would be lying if I didn’t add in here we went 4-5 times last year…..just iceskating. But just like any busy time I feel like looking back on those times I can’t remember much, or my mind was another place. So when we headed there last week I was on a mission to save the memories better than any other year.

Over my last 4 years in the blogging industry, I have found myself always drawn toward film/instax photography. I have collected so many instax photos from a variety of FUJIFILM cameras. They range from my mentees in 2016-2017, when Bryce & I first started dating, family holidays & even photos of my room to remember how it was once styled. FUJIFILM Instax just released a new color of their Instax Mini 90, Red, right in time for the holidays. So when the thought of preserving our holiday memories better this year came to my head, I knew exactly how I wanted to do it.

As we raced around the market we were taking photos of everything: the beautiful decor, stupid selfies, what we were wearing and in the moment I knew it was going to be so fun to look back on these. But then I thought, there has to be a better way to store these memories than just throwing them in the same container as all my other photos just to get lost in. So I headed to my local craft store and picked up a clear picture frame. I lined the frame with the instax and boom: a fun gift, or home decor piece that you can cherish forever!

My favorite part about this camera is the smaller film. It is 5.3 x 8.4 and is credit card size so perfect to shoot and store when on the go. Also, it has a double exposure option which allows for you to get extra creative when using it. It combines 2 different photos in one (this is a look that people spend hours trying to photoshop and you get it in one mode switch). With all the different modes and options there is endless creating with the Instax Mini 90 — my personal favorite, was the self timer. We used it to get shots when one of us could be behind the camera, plus it can take 1 or two photos. Check out the list below for more information on the camera & all it can do!
